My New Birthday

I will no longer celebrate my original birthdate. I have a new one. I was reborn again on Sept 5th. This is the day I decided to live. Do not confuse me with Harry Potter...the boy who lived! I was simply a person who decided to take one breath after another.

It is amazing how children can make you want to carry on even when the world crashes around you. My daughter gave me a note that said, "I love you mom". Believe it or not that was enough for me to stay.

Things have gotten better

Are Our Communications Private??? Experiment Upon the Word

Before I left the church I sent an e-mail to one of the "September" people who was excommunicated. I told her of my reservations about certain doctrinal and historical matters and our desire to leave the church. The following Sunday my husband appeared at church in the required suit and tie and the Bishop said, "I heard you have decided to leave the church". I wondered if they had been monitoring her e-mails or mine. So I decided to experiment!
I have recently sent outrageous e-mails about various family members to my own dummy e-mail accounts. I have been informed that they have been confronted about these e-mails.
I have only the one conclusion to be drawn that they do monitor e-mails and websites. NOTHING IS PRIVATE!

How long is too long???

OK perverts, this is about waiting at a doctor's office...not some phallic symbolism. I came down with a raging fever and sinus infection. I waited at the local "Doc-in-a-box" to be seen because my family doctor just moved and I hadn't taken the time to find another doctor. This place was like waiting in line at wal-mart check out! It was packed and the line wasn't moving! I waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes before being called back...no problem! I was ahead of 8 other patients!! I was taken to a room and told as soon as another exam room opened up I would be next in line. An hour goes by, and I start snoozing on the exam table when a knock on the door wakes me up. The nurse escorts me to another exam room and states there are only two patients before you. I am thinking an hour and a half not too bad! I wait in the next room for about an hour. With nothing to do, I begin taking pictures with my cell phone.

This is what I found:

Viagra clock: "Isn't it about time"

Bipolar manual: "How to help your loved one"

ADD Screening: "Are you an adult coping with ADD?"

Various other charts: Blood pressure, migraines, orthopedic charts...etc.

I begin to realize that I have waited 2 1/2 hours! So I open the door and a nurse pushes, yes, pushes me back in and says there has been an emergency and they had to have a meeting and your next in line to be seen. I grab my chart from the door and proceed to the front desk. I slam the chart down and said I have waited long enough.

I go outside and see that every car is gone except mine! I think the doctor had already gone to lunch!!!!!! They had forgot about me! Just in case your wondering

Good Friends

I know it can't be said enough how important good friends are to have in your life. Friends come in all shape and sizes. There are the fair-weather friends who are great until the going gets rough. Then there are the casual friends, who are great to hang out with, but it is total surface level friendship. The most important are those that know the blackest parts of your past and love you anyway! These are a select and special group who really deserve the title "friend".

It is very rare to find this type of person. I have been priviliged to have discovered a few. I have always cherished my friends in the blog world. They listen and encourage and love me for who I am. But in the everyday world, it is harder to find. Maybe it is the anonimity that lends itself to the friendship; thereby limiting the strain upon relationships. I have never claimed to be without fault. I have made stupid choices in my life. Some I have regreted, others I have not. For each mistake, I think I have gained some knowledge about life, love, and happiness. Unfortunately, some of my posts have had an adverse affect upon my family. To them, I apologize. To the bitches who have used my blog as an opportunity to harm my family I say, "Fuck off"!

I am lucky to have the blogosphere family. With you, I am not alone. And for that fact alone, I am lucky!
